My SIWES Training Experience

Hardware/Networking

During my SIWES training, I gained knowledge of computer hardware basics, including the internal components of a computer such as the motherboard, RAM, chips, and hard disks. I also studied networking fundamentals, learning how devices are connected, how they communicate with one another, and how networks can be configured and maintained. This provided me with practical insight into troubleshooting hardware issues and understanding the flow of information across networks.

Web Design and Graphics

I was introduced to the basics of web design, where I learned how to build and customize websites using WordPress. I also gained experience in designing simple graphics, layouts, and banners using Microsoft Word and other basic tools. These skills helped me develop a foundation in both visual design and website management, which are essential in today’s digital environment.

Microsoft Office

Through my training, I explored the wide range of applications in Microsoft Office. I learned how to create professional documents using Word, prepare spreadsheets and perform data analysis with Excel, and design engaging presentations using PowerPoint. In addition, I was able to improve my efficiency with tools like Outlook for email management and Access for simple database handling. These applications strengthened my ability to work productively in academic and business settings.
